President & CEO
Nancy Leisure, the President and visionary who founded the women's support group back in 2017, stated We help women who are transitioning from mental & physical imprisonment, homelessness, and general hardships on life's journey. The vision and goal are to have a safe and supportive Transitional House of Hope, where women can continue the healing journey and transition to stability. We offer whole-life recovery-rediscovery care, coaching, and mentorship. " Sisters of Hope NC, Inc. started as a bible study group that met at each other's homes. When COVID struck, it evolved into a women's support organization where we serve women at the North Piedmont Correctional Center, Lelsie House, and in our community because so many people were going through feelings of depression and loneliness. We partnered with other community organization and business to help with community needs. We are currently raising funds to open up a Transitional House of Hope in Davidson County, "where we can help women continue the journey of healing, recovery, growth, and a change of mindsets, and hopefully change their lives. With our 18-month community re-entry program, they can be productive citizens and give back to the community that served them she says.
